Heat Stroke- Preventive Measures

Heat Stroke is a condition marked by fever and often by unconsciousness, caused by failure of the body's temperature-regulating mechanism when exposed to excessively high temperatures.

The Year 2015 proved to be a challenging & unfortunate year for Pakistan when heat wave as high as 49 °C (120 °F) in Pakistan caused the deaths of about 2,000 people from dehydration and heat stroke in Karachi and different parts of Sindh.

Once again in 2016 according to Director General, Meteorogical Office, Dr. Ghulam Rasool the entire country will see hot weather in the months of May and June. He said like the previous year, Karachi will once again face a severe heat wave.

People should take preventive measures to avoid being affected of Heat Stroke. As Benjamin Franklin has said, "An Ounce of prevention is worth a Pound of cure!" It is always better to have preventive measures known for every ill condition.
