Youth Parliament's Wall of Kindness In Punjab

Wall of Kindness is a phenomenal charity work and a kind of welfare, usually done by attaching cloth hangers from outside of houses; those encourage people to donate miscellaneous useful things such as winter clothing.

ake a positive difference in their communities. With this aim Youth Parliament cabinet members from Punjab initiated "Wall of Kindness" (Deewar-e-Shafqat) at Haweli Lakha, Okara.




"Once in a meeting Chairman Youth Parliament Rizwan Jaffar said: "Think Globally, Act Locally". Take initiatives and perform positive actions in your own communities". Therefore inspired from the idea from social media where we came across similar initiatives in Karachi, Peshawar and Iran, we initiated "Wall of Kindness" (Deewar-e-Shafqat) from our home Haveli Lakha", said Khawar Abbas (Federal Cabinet Member- Youth Parliament). The motive of this wall is to provide shoes, clothes and other basic necessities to the under-privileged people, he added. 

The inauguration ceremony of this Wall of Kindness was held on Labor Day, 1st May 2016. An it was inaugurated by Faqeer Muhammad who is a common laborer of Haveli Lakha and works on daily wages.



The organizers included Shahzaib Naveed, Sohail Bodla, Shahzaman, Kamal Shah, Qayyum Chohan, Liaquat Ali, Mehmood ul Hassan, Muhammad Murtaza, Muhammad Ahmad, Bahadur Shirazi & Tanveer Khan. 

The organizers said they are planning to install similar walls in different parts of the city to promote kindness under the badge of Youth Parliament, "Youth for Services".

Heat Stroke- Preventive Measures

Heat Stroke is a condition marked by fever and often by unconsciousness, caused by failure of the body's temperature-regulating mechanism when exposed to excessively high temperatures.

The Year 2015 proved to be a challenging & unfortunate year for Pakistan when heat wave as high as 49 °C (120 °F) in Pakistan caused the deaths of about 2,000 people from dehydration and heat stroke in Karachi and different parts of Sindh. 

Once again in 2016 according to Director General, Meteorogical Office, Dr. Ghulam Rasool the entire country will see hot weather in the months of May and June. He said like the previous year, Karachi will once again face a severe heat wave. 

People should take preventive measures to avoid being affected of Heat Stroke. As Benjamin Franklin has said, "An Ounce of prevention is worth a Pound of cure!" It is always better to have preventive measures known for every ill condition. 

Following are the preventive measures to avoid Heat Stroke:

  • Limit you outdoor activities under sun. Avoid peak sun.
  • Avoid exercise during the hottest part of the day.
  • Stay hydrated. Drink lots of water daily.


  • Wear light colored, loose fitting clothing.


  • Take home made drinks such as Lemonade, Fruit Juices & Salted Milk Lassi.


  • Avoid having liquids with caffeine and excess sugar.

Youth Parliament Oath Taking Ceremony




On 31st March 2016 Youth Parliament’s new cabinet members oath taking ceremony was held at Governor House, Karachi. The ceremony was graced by His Excellency Governor Sindh Dr.Ishrat-ul-Ebad Khan. The guests of Honor included Asif Haider Shah (Commissioner Karachi Division), Dr.Aamir Liaquat Hussain (Senior Anchorperson & President Geo TV Network), Waseem Badami (Senior Anchorperson & Journalist ARY News), Najia Ashar (Senior Anchorperson & Journalist AAJ TV), Anum Tanveer (Actress & Model), Patrons Youth Parliament including Mehmood Sham (Senior Journalist & Writer), Abdullah Feroz (Efroz Pharmaceutical), Dr.Farhan Essa (C.E.O Essa Laboratories), Mustafa A.Mirchawala (Administrator Mirchawala Education), Hussain Mirza (Commissioner Sindh Scouts), Dr.Hanif Saeed, Noman Lakhani (Chancellor BIZTEK), Shaikh Rashid Alam (C.E.O  Brand Foundation),  Dr.M Shahid Ameen Khan (Chairman Human Rights Foundation Pakistan), Fawwad Atiq Bari, Shahab Islam (C.O.O AAJ News).


On this occasion Youth Parliament's special tributary video to the services rendered by His Excellency Dr.Ishrat-ul-Ebad Khan  for the last thirty years was played.


Chairman Youth Parliament Rizwan Jaffar gave presentation on the progress, activities and events of Youth Parliament in Year 2015.  Six debaters from Youth Parliament Debate Council including Talha Anwar, Owais Rabbani, Inshal Jawed, Umme Farwa, Fizzah Qamar, Kehkashan Anjum delivered speeches on different topics.






His Excellency Governor Sindh Dr.Ishrat-ul-Ebad Khan took oath from 100 new cabinet members. Congratulating the new cabinet members His Excellency said that youngsters consist of 60 percent of the population of the country and their inclusion in the process of decision-making is important. Commissioner Karachi Aif Haider Shah assured that every assistance will be provided to the Youth Parliament.  Renowned Journalist Mehmood Sham paid tribute to Youth Parliament in the form f a poem, he wrote on spot. Dr.Aamir Liaquat Hussain & Waseem Badami also spoke on the occasion.

 Governor Sindh Dr.Ishrat-ul-Ebad Khan inaugurated Youth Parliament’s new project “City Thinkers Forum”. In the end His Excellency presented Youth Icon awards to Waseem Badami, Najia Ashar, Junaid Iqbal, Anum Tanweer and Patron Awards to the members Board of Patrons Youth Parliament. While Excellence award to Khawaja Bilal Mansoor Sethi, Mir Murtaza Ali Bughio, Owais Khanani & Asim Shah. 



Conference of Youth On Climate Change




Climate Change currently the biggest issue of the world, more than thirty thousand people die every year because of Climate Changing. Pakistan ranking number Eight in this year’s Global List of countries most affected by climate-related disasters. Pakistan needs all the help it can get in increase its resilience. Therefore Youth Parliament declared this year 2016 to focus on Theme ‘Climate Change’ and to create awareness of Climate Change issue in Pakistan, especially on Youth level where Youth can share their views & raise the voice to save the Pakistan & this beautiful planet.With this mission Youth Parliament organized Conference of Youth-COY Pakistan. This conference was in connection with the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change COP21 & Conference of Youth COY11 held at Paris, France in Nov-Dec 2015.The opening ceremony was held on 25th January 2016 at Marriott Hotel, Karachi. The opening ceremony was graced by First Women Speaker of Balochistan Assembly Raheela Hameed Durrani. The guests of honor included experts on environment Afia Salam, Naeem Qureshi, Abdul Fawad.Mr. Abdul Fawad from K-Electric presented special presentation on Environment.

From 26th January 2016 to 27th January 2016 Side Events of COY Pakistan were arranged in different universities of Karachi which included PAF-KIET, University of Karachi, Askari College, Newports Institute of Communication & Economics & Sir Syed University of Engineering & Technology (SSUET). In these Side Events special Environment & Climate Change Experts were invited who created awareness among youngsters regarding Climate Change, its causes, effects and solutions.Closing Ceremony of COYPakistan was held on 28th January 2016 at Arts Council of Pakistan- Karachi.  The Guests of Honor included Senator Abdul Haseeb Khan, Ahmed Shah (President Arts Coucil of Pakistan), Ayaz Memon Motiwala (President All Pakistan Tajir Alliance), Fawad Khan (K-Electric) and people from different walks of life.
